As a result of the disaster caused by the earthquake of magnitude 7.8 Mw ocurred on April 16, 2016 on the coast of Ecuador, we began with the architects Julián Dávalos and Mario Cueva with the design of housing prototypes in order to assist families who have lost their homes.

That´s how the project shelter - dwelling was born. Its main objectives are to generate a constructive low-cost model that considers the customs, geographical conditions and local building skills, also to involve the affected population in rebuilding their own neighborhood through a participatory and community work.
